Nike Trainer 1.2 – Chris Johnson Player Exclusive

Last season, Tennessee Titans running-back Chris Johnson became just the sixth player to rush for 2,000 yards. Reaching that mark, he joined elite runners like Eric Dickerson, Jamal Lewis, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis, and OJ Simpson. If you’ve been paying attention to Johnson during the off-season, you know that he has no plans on stopping there. He wants Eric Dickerson’s single-season record of 2,105 yards, and he wants it this year. Not only does he want that record, but he is shooting for – gasp- 2,500 yards this season. To reach that mark, Johnson would need to average a little over 156 yards per game. Can he do it? I won’t be the one to doubt him.

Taking a step back, the people over at Nike wanted to make sure that the 2,006 yard season was properly acknowledged. Part of that recognition comes in the form of this Chris Johnson “CJ2K” Trainer 1.2 player exclusive. The shoe features a red synthetic upper, with white filling in the toe, heel, Swoosh, and inner liner. Embroidered on the heels is “CJ2K Knows,” a salute to the previous mentioned 2,000 yard rushing season. Chris gave us a look at these on Twitter, but there’s no word on whether or not we’ll see them release. Via Sole Collector
