adidas brought the Crazy 8 back this year, and 4th quarter is looking even better for adidas fans. A few quickstrike colorways will drop Holiday 2011, but the most sought after colorway will be the adidas Crazy 8 that Kobe Bryant wore in the 1998 All Star game.Here’s a some background info, courtesy of adidas:
In 1998, the Mecca of basketball, New York City, hosted the NBA All Star Game at Madison Square Garden. At that time, a 19 year old became the youngest player to be selected as a starter to the All Star game. He lead the Western Conference with 18 points in a loss to the stacked and fan favorite Eastern Conference team. The shoe number 8 wore has been locked in the adidas vault until now. The Black/white/purple All Star Crazy 8 is back for a limited run.
