Nike Dunk – Be True To Your Street Collection

The Nike Dunk is 25 years old this year and Nike is doing a small celebration for the occasion. Nike Japan just announced a collection of Dunks under the Nike Be True To Your Street campaign and yesterday, we saw the official announcement of the fragment design x Nike Dunk High Black/Purple which should fall under this campaign as part of the collaborative series. The Be True To Your Street Dunks will include a number of new colorways and a number of original colors with slight design changes. There are at least three original colorways of the Dunk High with a embossed polka dot pattern in the mid panel, the ‘Storm Trooper’ is part of this retro. In addition there are a number of original popular Dunk Low colorways which will get the vintage treatment including the golden rod and curry colorways. Jordan CMFT Max Air 12 – 2011 Releases

Brand is going all out in 2011. Finally comfortable with being a Brand, we as consumers will see multiple pairs of sneakers bearing the Jumpman logo. Some may label it as hype but in reality, this was the goal ever since ‘Brand’ was added to the ‘Jordan’ name.

Now, we’ve all been introduced to the CMFT series. Two new colorways of the Jordan CMFT Max Air 12 will make an appearance starting in January with the Black/ Fresh Water-Midnight Fog’s, a color associated with the Air Max line, and the White/ Metallic Silver-French Blue’s in February. Air Jordan V – Navy/Grey Unreleased Sample

Sample kicks and consumers have a love/hate relationship. Some samples should stay samples, while others would have made great releases.These Air Jordan V samples are a prime example. A navy tonal nubuck upper with light grey accents used really make this pair work well. These do look similar to the Wolf Grey AJVs set to release in 2011. Amid all the LeBron hype, some much-needed understatement

Thank you, Random Cleveland Cavaliers Fan With Subpar Handwriting. Thanks for being the hero we all needed — if not necessarily the hero that your fellow fans might have wanted — Thursday night.

It all started so simply. You were on your way to the Quicken Loans Arena to watch a certain special somebody who now plays for the Miami Heat take on your beloved Cavs on Thursday night. You saw everyone around you brandishing signs and T-shirts emblazoned with slogans like "Quitness," and "The Lyin' King". You saw those signs, and then a branded, rectangular surface, and you saw an opportunity. And then you seized it.

You diabolical leveling agent, you. I applaud your hastily scrawled handiwork, and I hope the white towel with which the Cavaliers front office chose to provide you and your fellow fans — kind of appropriate, considering how the Cavs all but quit in the second quarter, isn't it? — tastes of, if not victory, then at least cherry Airheads.

Q-Tip Shoots Down ATCQ Documentary; Flick Headed To Sundance

(AllHipHop News) A Tribe Called Quest founding member Q-Tip has revealed he is not in support of an upcoming documentary on the legendary Hip-Hop group being directed by actor Michael Rapaport.

Q-Tip sent the tweet out on the heels of Beats Rhymes and Life being selected as one of the official films for the Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary focuses on the rise of A Tribe Called Quest, their reunification in 2008 at Rock the Bells and the differences between them, that ultimately caused a break up.

"I am not in support of the a tribe called quest documentary," Q-Tip tweeted. "The filmmaker should respect the band to the point of honoring the few requests that's was made abt the piece…the filmmaker shld respect the band enough to honor our request regarding the the film."
Rapaport filmed Beats Rhymes and Life over an eight month period, recording hundreds of hours of footage of group members Q-Tip, Phife, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi.

The movie will compete in the US Documentary category during the Sun Dance Festival, which takes place in several cities in Utah from January 20-30th. Via All Hip Hop
