Showing just how versatile the Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer is, New York Knicks big man Amar’e Stoudemire has surprised many by wearing the shoe on the hardwood for majority of the 2010-2011 season. While the numbers alone can’t speak for performance, Amar’e is enjoying the best season of his career thus far, so he’s clearly found some level of comfort with the trainer. Some Knicks fans have inquired about Amare’s PE colorway dropping, and while we have no information about that just yet, they may interested in this new “Yankees” colorway of the Zoom Huarache Trainer.
As far as we know, we’re not aware of any official connection to the Bombers, but the design is Yanks all the way. A mostly medium grey exoskeleton gets from minor metallic silver detailing and hits of obsidian on the inner bootie, tongue, Swoosh and midsole. Making the look even more interesting, the liner appears to feature a white pinstripe pattern. Grey and obsidian work together to finish off the outsole.
