Air Jordan 6 Rings – Metallic Black
If it weren’t for Jordan’s sudden retirement from the game in 1993, the Jordan Brand team would have had a larger task at hand in creating an ‘Eight Rings’ design. There’s no doubt Jordan would’ve gone eight straight, completely owning the 90′s and adding the Hakeem Olajuwon to the list of greats that were stopped short by Jordan’s reign. The Six Rings is in fact a tribute to the Air Jordan models that Michael wore during his six championships, and this new metallic black colorway truly represents the ‘Black Cat’ persona of MJ; the upper features a combination of a metallic black finish with a nubuck material on the upper half, with black panther’s paws on the midsole with a translucent bottom sole. The execution on this new colorway is identical to the Royal Blue Six Rings sample we showed you long ago, but this all-black colorway has more of a winter-ready feel. Take another look after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway, and head to MarqueeSole as they have a few sizes available now. Via Sneaker News
