(AllHipHop News) Former Little Brother member Big Pooh is preparing to release his official full length debut, Fat Boy Fresh Vol.1: For Members Only. The digital-only release is the first album from Big Pooh's new record label, For Members Only.
Fat Boy Fresh Vol. 1 features guest appearances from rappers/producers like Madlib, T3 of Slum Village, Nottz, Young RJ, Black Milk, Kendrick Lamar, Carlitta Durand and Glasses Malone.
The lead single from the album is titled "Freebasin'" featuring Carlitta Durand.
“I just felt like it was time for me to finally branch out and not only concentrate on building my own brand but also assist in hopefully helping someone else live out their dream,” Big Pooh told AllHipHop.com in a statement.
For Big Pooh, Fat Boy Fresh Vol.1 is the first release from his new label, which will also develop and market new talent.
"For Members Only Inc signifies a special club - an exclusive membership where talent is key but focus, drive, and work ethic reign supreme," Big Pooh explained. "HOJ [Hall of Justus] will always be the foundation and play a part in my career, but the design was for us all to one day become our own bosses and this is the next step in that process for me.”
Fat Boy Fresh Vol. 1: For Members Only is due in stores on April 5th via Big Pooh's imprint, For Members Only.
