Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers might not have been strong enough to secure his position at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 album charts, but he easily remains in the lead as the top rap act this week.
In its second week on shelves Lasers was able to move 46,700 units, giving Lu a seat at No. 3 on the charts, and making his total stand at 251,000, according to the Nielsen SoundScan report.
Six slots down, Travis Barker’s new hip-hop compilation, Give The Drummer Some, debuted at No. 9. Barker sold 28,400 units of the album featuring artists including; Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Game, Clipse and Lupe Fiasco, among others.
In its 17th week on the charts, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday continues to move units. This go-round the album sold 25,100 discs, making her overall numbers stand at 1,239,000. She also was able to climb from No 16 to No. 13. Meanwhile, in its 39th week, Em’s Recovery maintained its position at No. 19 while moving another 20,100 units to make his tally stand at 3,736,900.
Kanye and Weezy F both maintained their presence in the Top 40. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy checked in at No. 35 with 10,900 for 1,085,200 units overall. I Am Not A Human Being climbed a few spots to No. 37, as he picked up an additional 10,300 in sales to make his complete figures equal 817,200.
