Charles Hamilton can breathe the air of freedom once again, having spent a month and half behind bars for felony assault.
As previously reported, the embattled rapper was cuffed in Cleveland, Ohio last December for assaulting two police officers and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $25,000.
Hamilton was finally released on bail on Wednesday, Jan. 26., according to court reports. He was referred to a psychiatric clinic on Jan. 4 and will still face a mental health evaluation.
This is not the first time Hamilton will be facing psychiatric evaluation. The “Brooklyn Girls” rapper checked himself into New York Presbyterian Mental Hospital last summer.
“All I wanted to do and still want to do is make music,” he explained to Bossip of the hospital stay. “It got to the point where I started talking in rhymes all the time, even in just regular conversations. And music just became me, so I thought it’d be a good idea if I checked into the hospital just to get my mind right.” —Henry Adaso for XXL
