Due to having a little "home field advantage" and being the alma mater of Nike Chairman Phil Knight, the University of Oregon is regularly the beneficiary of exclusive gear and footwear. Even their home basketball court has gotten a next level Nike makeover from Tinker Hatfield. However, out of all the exclusive merchandise the school receives, we've rarely seen the Big O turn up on any Jordan Brand product. Until now at least.
Seen here is what is said to be an Air Jordan Retro 9 Oregon Player Exclusive. A lot more relaxed than what we've come to expect from Oregon gear, the shoe sports a simple black on black nubuck upper with metallic silver accenting. The most interesting thing about this shoe is the school's "O" logo replacing the standard rubber globe on the heel. The inner liner also seems to feature some graphic work and a raised texture.
